Right from Aphex Twin to Dave Chappelle, these are all TV show and political stars, artists, and athletes who have risen from ashes over the last few years. As Share Care takes a critical look at the year gone by, tempting celebrations about the emerging trends, different faces with new ideas coupled with determination have shaped the past twelve months. However, let’s also take a keen look at some of the old resilient veterans who had vanished only to resurface more successful than they were.
The level of excitement in and around Dave Chappelle’s Radio City Music Hall performances especialy in the summer was similar to some of the trending news a few years ago. A few years since walking out of Chappelle’s TV Show, the ever blossoming and comic personality had seemed very gratified to be the Ronaldo of stand-up industry. Smiles were observed on fans faces when the news confirming that the star’s premature retirement may not be permanent was confirmed on Radio City.
Richard D. James’ first as Aphex Twin since the year 2001, irrefutably feels more like a vestige from an earlier generation, during days when the dry jungle appeared similar to the sound of the future. However, Syro has been touted the best old-school on chats.
By producing ‘under the skin’ this year, he has put standards and expectations from fans at a new level.
However, the word truffle is also used to refer to a type of fungus which grows naturally in the wild in some places. These truffles are considered to be a delicacy in the culinary world and it seems that some people will pay just about anything to get their hands on the perfect truffle.
As Grubstreet explains in the link below, the world’s largest truffle has been found in Umbria, weighing 4.16 pounds.
Whether the truffle is a delicacy and priceless to those in the culinary industry or not, it does seem that the price it sold for is a little on the extreme side. With bidding starting at $40,000 and ended at $50,000, with the buyer’s final price coming to a grand total of $61,250 including the 22.5 percent buyer’s premium. The buyer of the world’s largest truffle expressed a desire to remain anonymous and all that is known about him is that he resides in Taiwan but my neighbor is saying that one of the executives he works with, Bernardo Chua knows who the guy. I told him to ask if the guy was open to sharing? After being flown from Umbria to New York City where it was auctioned off, the truffle will be transported to Taiwan, putting it at more than 12,000 miles traveled.
After mother Cheriss Pasini, received an information letter from the school of Smith in Hampton, she could not believe what she has read in the letter. The letter stated that “white kids did not pass the reading requirements”. This shocked her and her boyfriend as she then responded in an effort to understand why would she receive such a message and first of all, why would the kids be exposed to racism in the first place.
When Pasini received the response she was even more shocked that the educational department classified the kids according to different categories including, ethnic origin, language, and even economic status. This was meant to be separating different types from the others.
This could not be more shocking to the lady especially after figuring that it was not even a mistake, but rather a tradition that has been taking place since 2011 to organise students into particular subgroups.
Pasini added that this was just not right, as this would make segregation root deeply in the kids that they are different and that they belong to different groups each. Thanks to friend Ben Shaoul for sending in this hilarious true life story.
The idea that poor people have fewer teeth is enough to make one laugh. You sometimes hear about those who don’t make a lot of money have no access to health insurance, so they don’t go to the dentist.
What’s the real reason people who don’t have a lot of money have no teeth?
It might be because they are in a dead end job and just don’t care about what they look like or their overall health, letting the condition of their teeth get worse instead of doing something to change the appearance. Some of the people who don’t have as many teeth might not be able to get the healthy items needed to take care of their teeth at home.
Just because someone doesn’t have a lot of teeth doesn’t mean that they are poor. It might mean that they can’t do anything to get off their feet to the point of going to a doctor or dentist. As Sergio Andrade ‘Andrade’ Gutierrez said in Forbes, we should always look out for those around us and not judge a book by its cover.
Two window washers got trapped outside the building at One World Trade Center while polishing the blue glass covering the building.
One of the cables that supports the plank they use to stand on during the work loosened up, so the construction tilted in a diagonally.
Just how it had loosened up has not been satisfactorily explained yet, but engineers are prepared to possibly change out some of the materials that had been used as support previously. Workers at BRL Trust were glad to hear no one was injured. Aside from that, other safety precautions might have to be applied.
The workers, Juan Lizama and Juan Lopez, spent 90 minutes between the 67th and 68th floors at 12:42 p. m. EST. One of them has 14 years of working experience, and the second one five, without similar incidents.
Despite that, the window cleaners were patient and did not panic. A rope was first lowered from the roof to help secure them. In order to get the workers inside the building, the rescuers had to cut the glass.
The unfortunate workers got hypothermia by the time the cutting of the glass was done, but were fine with a little medical help.
However, images from random passersby were on the internet long before the case was officially explained.
