Currently, Helane Morrison is the managing director of Hall Capital Partners. She also serves as the chief compliance officer and general counsel of the firm. The San Francisco based company ranks as the leading investment company in California.
One of the unique characters of the corporation is that women run its operations. Before joining the firm, she worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). During her tenure at the SEC, Morrison represented the firm to the news media and various government agencies. I believe that Helane was inspired to join Hall Capital Partners partly because of the diverse leadership culture of the firm within the financial industry. It is my opinion that she was also partly motivated by the fact that after 2008 financial crash, most investors had not regained confidence of the financial professionals within the industry.
In light of her ongoing effort to have more fair and ethical business practices, Helane has come out as a fighter for industrial justice. For the last 30 years, I believe that Helane has been fighting against individuals that take advantage of people affected by the tumultuous economic circumstances. During the financial crisis of 2008, most financial institutions did not have safeguards against the demerits of the economic circumstances. With no other option, these firms were dependent on government bailouts. With increased unemployment rates, desperation among the populace was palpable. People lost trust over whom they could trust.
